Tool #27: Wordle

Type:  Word Cloud Generator

Teacher:  All

Student Use:  Capturing key points, Spelling lists, Vocabulary, Reflection

You provide the text, Wordle does the rest.  Words with higher frequency are printed in larger font (like tag clouds).  You can change the font, the color, the appearance of the cloud. 

I entered the URL to this site (EduTechieGal) in the Wordle URL creation box and came up with this word cloud …

    • Just did some more reading–I’ll be creating some Wordles at home as models for the student to create their own. Looks like it may be blocked at school.
